![]() Now we can move on to the use of a VR (virtual reality) headset. Using 3 of them is great though, because you can actually see the nose of the other cars with your peripheral vision, as you can IRL (in real life). So in that sense, I have always been okay with a single monitor. I always relied on my “track awareness”, or the ability to know where the other cars were, compared to where I was. While racing those cars, I never had a mirror, or really had much of an opportunity to look around due to the head restraints on the seat. Not the multi million dollar outfits like NASCAR or World of Outlaws, but I have raced mini sprints and stock cars on dirt, as well as a 1/4 midget career on asphalt or pavement. Of those, the triple screen was my favorite, although I am just fine with a single monitor. I have used a 50” Plasma TV, a 27” PC monitor, 3- 27” PC monitors, and a VR setup.
